The headquarter in <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/badlangensalza.de\" target=\"_blank\">Bad Langensalza<\/a> is located 30 km west of the Thuringian capital Erfurt. As a <a href=\"https:\/\/wirtschaft.thueringen.de\/forschung-innovation-technologie\/forschungslandschaft\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">research institution close to business<\/a>, we are an important player between applied science and exploiting industry.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Our research and development of processes and products aims to be close to the application. With his extensive knowledge and experience in the field of biochemistry and biotechnology, he laid important foundations at the fzmb. Even after his retirement from active work, he always remained connected to science and the institute.
