The health of humans, animals and our environment is closely linked.
The last coronavirus pandemic was not the only one to make this clear. This is also illustrated by the increase in antibiotic-resistant bacteria and the increased occurrence of zoonoses.
At the fzmb, we pursue precisely this One Health approach. To this end, we work closely together in our fields of biotechnology, veterinary medicine, in-vitro diagnostics, cell biology, life and environmental analysis.
An important goal is to develop rapid and reliable diagnostic procedures and tests.
We are developers and manufacturers of test components such as antigens and/or antibodies (e.g. legionella diagnostics, detection of MRSA). But we also produce ready-made tests (e.g. genotyping of multi-resistant gram-negative bacteria).
